The Council of Brooklyn Neighborhoods organized a Community Planning Workshop led by Professor Angotti of Hunter College for the Vanderbilt Rail Yard area. | Senator Montgomery received the 2008 Margaret Sanger Award from Family Planning Advocates of NYS. Catherine Abate, chair of the FPA presented the award (L ) here with the Senator and Joan Malin, chair of Planned Parenthood of NYC. Margaret Sanger was an advocate for safe contraception.
